The future is now...

Last month I directed the staged reading of Holli Gipson's new play "Her Brilliant Sway of the Moral Hinge" for the Inchworm Playreading Series.

This month I'm working on a private commission for a couple's wedding. She's Indian and he's Jewish, they wanted a play written about their relationship then performed for family and friends during an evening of entertainment called a Sangeet. Amidst dancing and singing, "When Jaina Met Jared" will be presented. Jai Ho!

Next month, WCProductions is going to its first film festival! "It's Madeline Long in The Illusioness" will show at the Chicago Short Comedy Video & Film Festival on July 24th at the Chicago Cultural Center Theater. We're part of the 9:00 PM Show.

In August, LiveWire Chicago Theatre will present our second annual VisionFest (2009) at the Chemically Imbalanced Theater. Check out www.livewirechicago.com/vision for more information.

Then, in the fall, LiveWire will be working on the development of an original play I wrote titled "Lower Debt," which will be part of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs INCUBATOR Series. There will be a Showcase Event of the piece on October 19th. The company then plans on mounting a full production of the play in the spring.

...and the fun is in the living!

Peace.
